Fort Wayne Area PTA Council focuses on local support and connection. We work to strengthen PTA in our region by providing community-based leadership support, local trainings, networking opportunities, collaboration between schools, shared resources, local advocacy efforts, partnerships with area organizations and businesses, and programs tailored to the needs of Fort Wayne area families and schools. We help units connect, share ideas, problem-solve, and grow together.
Fort Wayne is a little unusual because many of our Council board members also serve as FSRs for Indiana PTA. That means you will likely see a lot of familiar faces. Many of our volunteers wear multiple hats in order to better support local units, but when serving as an FSR, they are representing Indiana PTA and supporting units in that role. |
Indiana PTA provides statewide leadership, governance, advocacy, compliance guidance, training, resources, grants, awards, membership systems, and organizational support for all PTA units across the state. They help ensure units have the tools, policies, and information needed to operate successfully and remain in good standing.
What is an FSR (Field Service Representative)? Field Service Representatives (FSRs) are volunteers who represent the Indiana PTA. Their role is different from Council and is focused on direct unit support. FSRs are your go-to resource for questions related to PTA operations, including memberships, finances, bylaws, grants, awards, officer responsibilities, reporting, and general PTA guidance.
