Welcome to PTA Training & Community Support!
Effective PTA leadership starts with the right training and a strong network of support. Through council workshops, Indiana PTA training sessions, and National PTA’s Thrive and E-learning programs, you have access to valuable resources designed to help you grow as a leader and make a greater impact in your school community. These workshops and learning sessions provide hands-on guidance, expert insights, and the opportunity to connect with experienced PTA members who are eager to share their knowledge. With the right training and a supportive community behind you, you’ll be equipped to lead with confidence and make a real difference for students, families, and schools

Workshops Provided by the Fort Wayne Area PTA Council
​​Treasurer Workshops
The Fort Wayne Area PTA Council offers dedicated Treasurer Workshops in late August, September, and early October, providing essential guidance on managing PTA finances, budgeting, fundraising compliance, and financial reporting. Whether you're new or need a refresher, these sessions will help you confidently navigate your responsibilities. Led by experienced PTA leaders, these workshops ensure your PTA’s finances remain organized and transparent. Trainings are also available upon request--just reach out to your Field Service Representative. Stay tuned for 2025-2026 dates and locations!

Additional Learning Workshops
The Fort Wayne Area PTA Council is expanding its training with new workshops on Google Workspace, Canva, and Membership to help PTA leaders communicate efficiently, create engaging materials, and grow membership. These hands-on sessions provide practical skills to enhance your PTA’s success. More training opportunities are coming next year—stay tuned for updates!

Training at the State Level

Indiana PTA offers a variety of valuable training opportunities to support PTA leaders across the state, including the annual Caravan Training, as well as online workshops for Treasurers, Basic PTA, Advocacy, Reflections, and more. These sessions provide essential tools and knowledge to help you lead your PTA effectively, advocate for your school community, and engage families in meaningful ways. Whether you're a new leader or an experienced volunteer, Indiana PTA’s training resources are designed to equip you with the skills to make a lasting impact. Training at the National Level
National PTA offers a wide range of training resources to empower PTA leaders across the country. Their programs include Thrive, a comprehensive leadership development initiative, as well as E-learning courses covering topics like membership growth, advocacy, financial management, and effective communication. These flexible online courses provide valuable insights and practical strategies that can be implemented immediately to strengthen your local PTA. Whether you're looking to enhance your skills or gain new leadership tools, National PTA's training opportunities are designed to support your growth and help you create a positive impact within your school community.

The PTA Thrive Program is a leadership development initiative from National PTA designed to help PTA leaders strengthen their skills and build a more effective, engaged organization. Through a series of self-paced online modules, Thrive offers practical tools and resources to support PTA leaders in areas such as advocacy, membership growth, and creating meaningful school-family partnerships. To get started, you’ll need to create an account. If you need assistance with the registration process, feel free to reach out to your Field Service Representative for help. *This is National PTA's current learning format.
